Understanding the Qur’an Beyond Translation

The Qur’an is guidance from Allah, and understanding its message requires more than reading a translation. In this module, students will be introduced to the science of Tafsir and how scholars explain the Qur’an through context, language, revelation, and the teachings of the Prophet ﷺ.

Students will explore how the meanings of the Qur’an were preserved, how early Muslims understood its message, and why proper Tafsir protects the Qur’an from misunderstanding.

The Prophetic Legacy and Its Preservation

The Sunnah of the Prophet Muhammad ﷺ is a source of guidance for how Muslims believe, worship, and live. In this module, students will study selected Hadith from Imam al-Nawawi’s Forty Hadith and learn how these narrations connect to faith, character, worship, and daily life.

Students will also be introduced to the science of Hadith, the role of classical commentary, and how Prophetic guidance is understood and applied with wisdom.

Lessons from the Life of the Messenger ﷺ

The life of the Prophet Muhammad ﷺ is the greatest example for every believer. In this module, students will study key moments from the Prophetic biography and reflect on how the Messenger ﷺ taught, led, sacrificed, and built the early Muslim community.

Students will explore major events such as the call to Islam beyond Makkah, the support from Madinah, the Hijrah, and the Treaty of Hudaybiyah, while drawing practical lessons in patience, wisdom, leadership, trust in Allah, and Prophetic character.

Developing Prophetic Character and Conduct

Islam is not only learned through belief and worship. It is also lived through manners, character, speech, relationships, and daily conduct.

In this module, students will learn how the Qur’an and the teachings of the Prophet ﷺ guide the way a Muslim carries themselves with sincerity, humility, respect, gratitude, and good character.

The goal is to help students understand that Prophetic Manners are not small details. They are part of how Islam is practiced in everyday life.
